I love Fairies!!

I made something to share with you today that I found just a few days ago.  It's called a Napkin Fold Card.  If you've never made one, I encourage you to give it a try.  It's so much fun and very rewarding!  I used a full 12" x 12" card stock sheet, plus additional patterned papers in 3 different designs to create it.
This is the face of the card:

In this shot, I've untied the ribbon and let the card start to open:

Here you can see the card is starting to open even further,
and  you begin to get a hint of what's inside:

Now the card is completely opened up and you can see the beautiful Fairy inside and that there is ample room for handwritten sentiment.  I used a MS glitter pen to highlight her wings.

This is the back of the completed 6" x 6" card.

The papers I used were from Graphic 45 and named "Once Upon a Springtime Collection, Butterfly Kisses" and "Once Upon a Springtime Frames" and from My Mind's Eye, 29th Street Market "Peaceful Treasures, Precious/Jade.  I'm sorry, but I don't remember the name of the card stock I used for the basic shape of the card itself.  I used a Fiskars Diamond border punch on the belly band that goes around the card to close it.

I used the instructions from Split Coast Stampers.  Please take a look at these beautiful examples of other Napkin Fold cards from other blogs:  SCS Gallery, Marianne's Papeirverden (page down), and another at Marianne's Papeirverden.  As you can see, they can be simple or quite elaborate!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you have a Blessed Sunday!
Big Hugs,

Naturally Sweet

Sweet Nellie images are so precious, and this one, named "Joy sitting," is no exception.  She's so SWEET!!  I colored her with my Copic Markers.  The papers I choose are from Prima, and part of the Botanical Collection.  I used Missing you, Beloved, and Far, Far away.  If you look closely, you can see that I did a bit of layering of two different papers that had been edge punched.  I used two different edge punches on this card.  Embellishments include:  Latte half pearls, ribbon, and silk flowers.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create with TLC.  I love the colors on this card, and hope you do, too!

Thanks for coming by to take a look.  Have a wonderful day!!

May all your wishes come true.

I really enjoyed coloring this little Tilda image with my Copics.  She's so adorable!  The papers are from a Colorbok stack.  I machine stitched around the green polka dot paper, and then ripped the stitching away to give the ragged edge.  I also zigzagged around the added coordinating papers, and then distressed the papers and the card with Ranger Antique Linen.  I inserted floral brads through the middle of the lavender silk flowers, and then added a rhinestone on top of the brad and here and there around the card.  I use rickrack around the oval image and added a bow.  I use a leaf edge punch and another to round the corners of my card.  I used Stickles to embellish Tilda's dress and hair ribbon.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create with TLC.

Thank you for dropping by to take a peak!  I hope your day is amazing!!

Your smile tickles me!

I used another adorable little image from Mo Manning, called "Cherry," for this 6" x 6" card.  She's colored with my Copics.  The papers I used were"with all my heart" from s.e.i.  The sentiment comes from Paulette at Create with TLC. I used a flower Die Cut, leaf punch and edge punch to add some of the embellishment.  The flower has a pretty little pink stud in the center of it from Bo Bunny.  I love her sweet attitude!

I'm so happy you dropped in to take a look.  I hope you have a great day!

So, how's your day going?

I love, love, love this precious, pouting digi image from Mo Manning!  She's called "Mariko is mad."  I made the image a bit larger than I usually do, as I just wanted the details of her face and "attitude" to show clearly.  She's colored with my Copics.  I cut her out and mounted her on a sheet of white card that I ran through a dotted swiss folder using my Big Shot.  The other papers used are from  Cosmo Cricket's "Material Girl." I added a little flower I made with some of the papers, leaves and some red half pearls.  The sentiment is my own.  As someone who usually leans toward soft pastels, this was a real break away for me.  I like it!!  LOL

So, how's your day going??  I hope it's Blessed.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!!  xoxo  Marilou

Wishing You Everything Wonderful...

This lovely image is a Sarah Kay Vintage stamp called "Josephine cuddling her pet cat Kiki."  They're so cute, aren't they?  I used my Copics to color using one of my favorite color combos, pink and green.  I added pink half pearls, vintage lace, dark green ribbon, and embellished the background paper by layering on flowers and a butterfly.  The papers I used were from the same pack I used in my last post; purchased at Ross.  I really like the delicate, vintage look of the background paper.  A couple of punches were used to make the flowers, and one edge punch was used on the paper, and one on the edge of the card itself.  ETA:  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create with TLC.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog today and will return again soon.  Thank you for any comments you leave, they are such an encouragement to me.  Have a wonderful day! xoxo <3
