Shabby Rose Mini Journal

Hi there~

I'm back to share a Mini Journal with you.  It's the first I've made and I think it's so pretty!  It's a lot different than the vintage journals I usually do because this one is a soft-sided, lace embellished mini.

Front Cover
As you can see, it has multiple types and colors of lace draping from the cover.
I used white, cream and ecru colored lace and finished off with some
beautiful soft turquoise lace that is encrusted with pearls and sequins.

The shabby flower on the cover is made using various laces,
tulle, cheese cloth, and a rose bud.

Enchanted Forest Mini Album/Journal

Hello there!

I'm sharing another of my mini album/journals with this post.  This one-of-a-kind album/journal was made using Graphic 45's "Enchanted Forest" papers and ephemera and is filled with fairies, princesses, princes, maidens, a knight in shining armor, and even a dragon or two!

*Click on photos to enlarge them*

front cover

The album/journal was made using Graphic 45's Enchanted Forest papers and ephemera.  It measures 6 3/4" tall x 4 3/4" wide and is 1 3/4" at the spine. I did a lot of fussy cutting throughout the book and that can be seen above on the cover.

The cover is made from chipboard which is then covered in black cardstock.  I matted the cover with a page that I cut and crafted to fit.  I then added the layering, to bring texture, by fussy cutting some of the elements.  After it was completed, I added Wink of Stella clear to add some glitz and to make the elements on the cover pop.

Within, the book you will find 9 envelopes (sizes can be seen in my video on YouTube) and 3 large tabbed inserts/booklets.  There are 6 album pages and a few of them have flip out pages.  There are 2 belly bands, 6 pockets, and 6 "tuck spots."

The reason I call this book both an album and a journal is because it can be used as either or both.  You will find lots of landscape for photos and plenty of space for journaling as well.

This mini album/journal is for sale in my Etsy Shop, here. SOLD

I must give credit to Jennifer Harrison from Jen of Eve Designs:

Prayer Journal

Hello!

I really enjoy making journals and I have a new prayer journal to share with you.  I named her "Grace" and I really enjoyed making her.  The cover is made using a 9" x 12" clasp envelope, it has 78+ pages, counting fronts and backs of pages and not counting doilies, bags, or anything else but full pages.  Her measurements, after adding two signatures, are 9" x approx 5 1/2."

Front cover

The two signatures were hand-sewn to the cover using waxed linen thread and the envelope used was reinforced with Tyvek (as I do with all my envelope journals) to give it added strength.  I also machine stitched around the border of the envelope.

Back cover

After assembly, I added the lace you see around the top, bottom, and spine of the cover. More lace, along with fibers, ribbon, and butterflies or flowers were added to the journal pages, tags, pockets, etc.

I used the "September Chic" digital kit from NectarsCreations on Etsy to make this journal. Click here.

I also used some "prayer journaling cards" from TsunamiRose on Etsy. Click here.

This journal has already sold.

Thank you for stopping by!  God bless your day!

Sail Away Vintage Journal

Hello there,

I have a new Vintage Journal to share with you!  I love living close to the ocean, so I was inspired to make a journal that reflects the sea.

*click the photos for a larger view*

Front cover
This journal is 7 3/4" x 5 3/8" with a 2" spine. It has 2 handsewn signatures (sewn with a 3-hole pamphlet stitch), holds 84 pages, counting fronts and backs, and has lots of space for journaling.  Many of the pages are coffee or tea stained and oven baked. It has charms attached to the spine on a removable chain.

It contains tags (many with charms), ephemera, bags, pockets, envelopes, tuck spots, corner flaps, 2 paper clips, and some Prima Seashore metal clips and more! It closes with a Tim Holtz hitch post and a black stretchy clip.

The cover is reinforced with "Tyvek" for added strength and is made from a food box which was cut to the size needed.

Victorian Women Journal

Hello there,

I have another journal to share with you but I'm going to have to share it with you in the form of a video instead of photos, as I usually do.  I forgot to take photos before I mailed it off but managed to grab a screen shot from the video, so will share that here:

I hope you will take the time to watch the video~

Since I'm so new at making vids, I hope you will be patient with me while I learn!  lol
Most everything is explained in the video, so let's roll it...

I'm really enjoying making journals and hope that I inspire others to make them as well.  :)

Thank you for stopping by!
