Winifred

Yes, I've already started making my Christmas cards this year!  In fact, I started back in October.  So, today I'm sharing one of them with you.  This little sweetie is from Mo Manning's Digital Pencil, and she's called "Winifred."  She looks so warm wrapped in her green coat and hat.  The soft, furry little muff (hand warmer) is keeping her little hands toasty warm, too.
Here's a little fashion history for you regarding the Muff:  "It was introduced to women's fashion in the 16th century and was popular with both men and women in the 17th and 18th centuries. By the early 20th century muffs were used in England only by women. It is also reported that the fashion largely fell out of style in the 19th century. It briefly returned in the late 1940's and 50's."  (from wiki)  I sure remember the pretty, little furry white muff I had when I was a child.  Did any of you have one?
I tried something a bit different with this image.  I used a die to cut her out on a slant.  Do you like that "look?"
